'Just Outstanding'

In the latest OFSTED Inspection at one of our home we were delighted to receive an overall 'outstanding'. This means that out of our 8 Units we have 6 'Oustanding' Units, 1 'rated 'Good'. The other is a new unit and has yet to be inspected. This means that New Pathways 6 Units are part of just 14% of Childrens Homes in England & Wales which are judged 'Outstanding' by OFSTED during 2010. Naturally everyone at New Pathways is delighted with our record which further underlines our commitment to providing the highest possible care and support for those young people we look after. Having secured 6 out of 8 'Outstandings' the challenge is to ensure that all 8 units achieve this rating.

New Website Launch

New Pathways Childrens Services launches it's new Website in March 2010

	Dear In view of your forthcoming Ofsted inspection can I offer my view of the work undertaken by myself and New Pathways staff in respect of YP currently residing in one of your units. As a result of the care and support Z has received since her arrival with NPCS she is; • Much more able to talk and reflect on her past issues • She is less reliant on previously evidenced self destructive coping strategies. • She is developing a much greater appreciation of self concept. All of the above progress has been enabled by the positive, caring and supportive relationships she has with NPCS care staff. I feel that the direct therapy I have provided for Z throughout the last two years would have been far less effective in her now being in a completely different place emotionally than she is currently had it not been for the care and support New Pathways have provided.
