New Pathways Group Directors Profile

Jonathan Foster
(Director of New Pathways Childrens Services)

Jon is the Director of Residential Childrens Services at New Pathways Childrens Services and has over 25 years experience of working in both the statutory and voluntary sectors. This has encompassed a range of professional social care roles including residential child care, safeguarding young people and latterly as a specialist social worker with children and young people who are sexually harmful. Jon also worked at the University of Liverpool where he was a lecturer and tutor on the MA.Dip in social work. Jon has a CQSW along with a BA Hons degrees in  social science. Jon has been integral to the development of the solo placement model operated by New Pathways and the service is renowned for its expertise in providing placements for young people with a multiplicity of complex emotional and behavioural needs.


Steve May
(Director of Logistics)

Steve has over 20 years working in a variety of social care roles and has a Diploma in Social Work and worked with Liverpool Social Services as a statutory Social Worker before moving into the independent sector as a residential childrens services manager. He joined New Pathways in 2004 and is responsible for all Financial, Administration, logistical and building/environmental issues.


Tony Wardale
(Director of New Pathways Community Support Services & Responsibe Person for all residential childrens Services)

Tony is a qualified social worker (CQSW) who has over 28 years experience of working in the Local Authority as a residential worker, social worker and latterly (for the previous 10 years) as a child care manager of a child protection / family support team. Tony has an MA in Social Work and NVQ (Management) at level 4. He is also a qualified and experienced work based assessor (D32/33) as a Management assessor. Tony worked at the University of Liverpool where he provided seminars and long arm practice teaching on the MA / DIP SW course. He is currently responsible for the overal managment of New Pathways Community Support Services which provides community support and parenting assessment in respect of public and private proceedings. In addition Tony is the Responsible Person for all of the New Pathways residential childrens services.

'Just Outstanding'

In the latest of our OFSTED Inspections we are delighted to announce that 6 out of our 8 Units are rated now rated as 'Outstanding'. This is a tremendous achievement to all concerned and recognises the hard work and dedication of our staff team and indeed the young people themselves.

New Website Launch

New Pathways Childrens Services launches it's new Website in March 2010



 
I am really pleased about Xs progress since he has been with New Pathways. He has really made progress with his Education and his behaviour has really settled down. X had significant problems with relationships with his peers but those involved in his life feel that this has changed in recent months. Social Worker
